because people speak English
Dear Audio Speaking Group Friends,
In this thread, I will be recording one of my favorite English book 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen.
Austen's writing is so beautiful, yet witty and inspiring. I cannot describe how much I enjoyed reading it. By setting up this task, not only because I want to push myself to improve English speaking, but although and more importantly, I want to demonstrate my great admiration to Austen and her work.
I hope you enjoy my reading. Any feedback will be appreciated:))
Reading by Vesper
hipocritcal, deign, fretfully, acquainted, acquaintance, circumspection,
emphatic, tumult, fatigued, raptures, stoutly, conjecturing
ingenious, surmises, elude
amiable, scarcity, fastidious
Great. Look forward to it!
However, you might need to post your recording to another thread, the new Be a Newscaster 2012:
I'll see you there!!
Here is the Be a Newscaster 2012 thread. Please use this from now on. Thanks!
Hi vesper! You're doing a great job..By reading a novel we can apply what we've learned in weekly news. And by recording our voice too as you are doing it right here in your discussion we can track our progress after several months and we will know how much we improved. Isn't it wonderful? So keep it up! We'll backing you up on this. :)
All the best for your learning,
Thanks for the encouragement. I realise it is a big commitment. It will cost a year to finish recording this novel :))
Pride and Prejudice is a much loved story time immemorial . Wonderful hearing you read the extracts wishing you all success in completing it :)
