Comment by Jay Lee on Wednesday I'm Jay Lee. I'm a intermediate English student. I have been in the U.S for 10 months. I would like to improve my English and if anyone would like to learn Korean or Spanish please contact me. Actually, I am preparing to take the toefl ibt. I would like to share Toefl information.
Comment by Yanna on May 8, 2013 at 19:26 To Listening session, there's a tip I like too much: try to see a lot of movies in english!
You can start watching movies with legend IN ENGLISH (it helps you to understard what are you listening). Then, start to watch movies that you already saw, but without legend. Finally, you can start to watch new movies in english without legends.
To improve your skills for the tests, it's important to listen to cientifical TV channels (web channels are useful at the same level). Watch the News programs can be very useful too!
Just to remember: I'm a student too. These are just some tips I use. I'm just sharing my experiences to help answering the questions below.
Comment by Yanna on May 8, 2013 at 19:12 The perfect tip to improve Reading skills is start to read books in your english level, and then change to other books in higher levels.
The official TOEFL website indicates a very usefull tool for help students, the Lexille (http://www.lexile.com/toefl/).
It's very easy to use. You just need to enter the website above and put your actual grade in TOEFL tests. Then, the website will convert your grade for a Lexile range and ask about your interest categories.
The website gives you a large list of books that are helpfull to improve your english while you're having a good time. It's very cool!
P.S.: If you don't know your grade at TOEFL reading session, enter the page below, click in one of that tests and try to do the reading session: http://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/prepare/quick_prep/
