How are you? I heard on CNN that typhoon Matmo will landfall in your country today. Please do take care of yourself. That typhoon didn't landfall in my country, but it brought heavy rains due to the effect of monsoon.
Wishing you a positive feelings with this rainy weather.
Wow! Your lunch looks so yummy, Grace! I’d join you with pleasure! What’s this? I’d like to taste all your dishes! I think I’ll like all of them.
I’m happy you liked ice cream with strawberries and strawberry homemade jam. You’re welcome to my Mum’s place. It’s not very beautiful but we’ll offer you a great choice of Russian foods. Here’s the photo of ‘pirozhki’ (the stress on the last syllable), famous Russian food. My Mum makes them rather often and while visiting her I always take part in the process. I myself don’t have time for it.
Pirozhki are baked stuffed buns made from yeast dough and often glazed with egg to produce the common golden colour. They commonly contain different filling: meat (typically beef) or a vegetable filling (mashed potatoes, mushrooms, onions and egg, or cabbage). Pirozhki could also be stuffed with fish (e.g., salmon). Sweet-based fillings could include stewed or fresh fruit (apples, cherries, apricots, chopped lemon, etc.).
The filling of these pirozhki consists of chopped green onion and chopped boiled eggs. The other part of pirozhki has fresh apples mixed with jam.
Grace, today I’m leaving for my Mum again and will enjoy fresh-baked pirozhki. She always bakes them for our arrival!
Wow! Grace, you can't imagine how glad I am to get your ice cream! It reminds me of our previus summers when we sent each other different yummy things! Remember our Russian okroshka made from vegetables, meat and eggs based on our Russian beverage kvass. I again enjoyed eating it at my Mum's place. Now I described the recipe of it in Nina's blog about delicious food.
So, now you relax going to the mountains. I think you have picturesque scenery in your place. I'l like so much to visit it!
And I'm aware of your favourite hobby - different handmade things. I saw photo of those funny dolls made of clay. They're fantastic! You're definitely a gifted person, Grace! I remember your fascinating pictures!
Thanks again for the delicious ice cream. I'm also fond of it, especially with mango taste!
I'd like to offer you ice cream with srawberry syrup. A week ago I was at my Mum's place and we used to eat vanila ice cream with srawberries and syrup. My Mum has a small area of strawberries in her tiny garden so it was exactly time for strawberry harvest!
Haven't heard from you for ages! How're the things? When are going to have vacation? I'm having mine now! So I'm happy to have some free time to have fun on EC! I simply enjoy this activity as I master my English, find interesting ways to teach it and communicate with wonderful people like you, for example! I'm so excited about it!
Ok, I'm going to look through your new photos. I think you have a lot of them.
