I was once sad and lonely,
Having nobody to comfort me,
So I wore a mask that always smiled;
To hide my feelings behind a lie.
Before long, I had many friends;
With my mask, I was one of them.
But deep inside, I still felt empty,
Like I was missing a part of me.
Nobody could hear my cries at night
For I designed my mask to hide the lies.
Nobody could see the pain I was feeling
For I designed my mask to be laughing.
Behind all…

GO PLACIDLY AMID THE NOISE AND THE HASTE, AND REMEMBER WHAT PEACE THERE MAY BE IN SILENCE.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they, too, have their story.Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater or lesser persons than yourself.…

There was an old homeless woman. She built a small house next to the fence of a king’s palace .
One day, the king saw her small simple house during his morning tour
” whose home is this?” asked the king.
“it belongs to a poor woman” people replied , “she is in the forest now to bring food."
The king ordered his soldiers to destroy her home immediately , because the simple home distorted the view of the fence of palace .
later on , when the poor woman returned…

Prostomolotova Galina said… Hello, Tawfeeq!
Thanks a million for dropping by and for the lovely flowers! Your flowers have reminded me of the spring! It has come to my city at last, but I even don't have time and energy to enjoy it. This year is so busy and difficult.
You inspired me to read some poems about spring.
“Spring has returned. The earth is like a child that knows poems. ”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
I came across a poem for children. I'm going to learn it with my primary school students. It's very simple but I like it....
I plant a little seed in the dark, dark ground,
Out comes the yellow sun, big and round.
Down comes the cool rain soft and slow,
Up comes the little plant, grow, grow…grow!
Daffodils
by William Wordsworth (1770 - 1850) an English Romantic poet
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed-and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils
