Once upon a time,there was a weird resident of an almost desetrted island, the island had a few residents. They all were almost less than 10 people. A reoccurring problem for English learners is when to use "fun" insteady of "funny". I hear students all the time describe a trip, person, experience, etc. as "funny" when they mean to say it was "fun".

My theory is that in other languages they have one word that can mean both "fun" (enjoyable) & "funny" (makes you laugh).

Anyways, getting these words mixed up can sometimes be a major distraction. I suppose this is because I will hear people, who are close…
