Have you ever had a phobia? How you dealt with it? What kind of the phobia it was?

Irritating Bus

I live in the suburb of Almaty. Usually I leave my home at 9.30. It takes me about 10-15 minutes waiting for the bus. My first destination is a railway station where I get another bus to my office.

 I prefer to get a taxi if it’s available, but at this time it’s difficult to get the taxi to the railway station cause people usually go to work before 8.00 am.

So I have no choice than to go by bus there. To tell you the truth, It’s not a comfortable one. But at least I am always…

The price of peace

Here is an oriental parable which I read in one Russian self-help book and tried to translate it for you. Hope you will like it.

One merchant and his servant were sailing together on the ship. It was servant's first trip in the sea. He was sitting on the deck of the ship, yelling, complaining and crying. They tried to calm him, but nothing helped. The doctor, who was on the same ship, wanted to heal him and offered his services. The merchant agreed. And then the doctor ordered the…

Multitasking. Does it exist or not?

By writing this blog I am trying to understand what multitasking is. I think it is an interesting theme and it will be useful to know better about it.

"Multitasking refers to the ability of an individual or machine to perform more than one task, or multiple tasks, at the same time."(http://www.answers.com/topic/multitasking) But does it really work?

Here is an example from my… Continue

About a great poet...

My dear friends,

I was so touched by your interest of A.S.Pushkin's poetry and this encourage me to write more about him.

Recently I saw a TV program where one student said that he doesn't understand the big sense of Pushkin's poetry and that the poet wrote in a ridiculously simple way like every child could do. I was shoked by that statement...And even more when I realised that some others students were thinking almost the… Continue

Nightingale and its Rose

Dear All,

Sometimes love could be only from one side: you love someone but she/he doesn't feel the same. What do you think about love without answering?

Please see below translation of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin's rhyme "Nightingale and it's rose". Of cause it not precisely correct as his, but I think the meaning is the same.

Nightingale and its Rose

At spring the gardens glooms,with dark silence.

The… Continue

My interpretation of one of the Alexander Pushkin's poems.

Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin (06.06.1799-10.02.1837) is the greatest Russian poet and writer. Today I translated one of his poems to my friends at EC.

If your life would deceive you,

Don't be angry, don't be sad!

Calm yourself when you meet troubles:

Day of joy soon you will get.

Heart lives only in the future;

Boredom just is having you:

Everything is a small amount,

Don't be angry don't get shout;

Everything will go away,

What have gone… Continue
