English club chat room is a great place for practicing spoken English. We do not use our tongue in the chat room, however, but we use our mind to think in English rapidly.

We use the chat room in different ways, like:

  • For fun
  • For meeting people from different cultures
  • For conversations on various topics
  • For learning new words and expressions
  • Her achieving help from natives and teachers

There may be more reasons also

We all have various experiences about the chat room and I would like to know about some of them.

Here is a list of some basic questions about the chat room:

  •  What do you use the chat room?
  •  What makes you happy in the chat room?
  • What makes you frustrated and bored in the chat room?
  • Do you prefer chatting in the main room or in private?
  • What inspires you in the chat room
  • Do you like to chat on a specific topic or do you use the chat room just for fun?
  • How do you express your disagreement?
  • How do you face the situation when a person does not agree with your point?
  • What do you do to make a new member familiar with the chat room?
  • How do you behave with the old or new members? Is there any difference?

These questions are based on my experiences in the chat room. Try to answer some or all of these questions. In fact, I do not ask these questions to seek answers. I would like to see you thinking about questions. In the light of these questions, share your chat experiences with me!

If you like to add more questions, please do it!

The second part of this blog would be a summary of your answers.

Seeker, that's more than likely a deeper topic of conversation than any of us can answer here. Humanity and it's true intention will never be figured out.

Personally, I write a few blog postings, join main chat when time allows me to do so, inject a little fun and humor when possible, and enjoy what this site has to offer.

Humanity can think what they will.

A well composed thought or intention goes beyond the value of a "Hundred Dollar Bill".

Some are dreamers, some are seekers.

What really counts is the sentiment behind those "sneakers".

Sincerity, friendship, and kindness, go well beyond the spoken word.

Some of them know it.

A few have never heard.

Seeker, there's my tribute and "two cents worth".

Many stare into cyberspace while others visit Perth.

Great topic my friend. A few of us are maverick writers who do our level best to help learners. Some are native speakers. Many are masters of the language but only speak it on a part time basis.  My respect goes out to all of them. In my opinion, we're all teachers.:)

  • §  What do you use the chat room?
  • §  To be very frank I seldomly initiated a chat request, I respond to the requests comes to me.  I am of the opinion that most of the chatter just waste times, and never talk for the sake of gaining or learning any thing, they just chat for ‘TIME PASS”
  •
  • §   What makes you happy in the chat room?
  • §  Whenever I find a chatter with some positive thinking, serious in gaining or giving knowledge, this makes me happy, and I can spend as much time with such chatter as possible.
  •
  • §  What makes you frustrated and bored in the chat room?
  • §  When I find someone using vulgar, and abusive language, this makes me frustrate, and I immediately discontinue the chat.
  •
  • §  Do you prefer chatting in the main room or in private?
  • §  In private.
  •
  • §  What inspires you in the chat room.
  • Nothing.
  • §  Do you like to chat on a specific topic or do you use the chat room just for fun?
  • §  I do not like to use the chat room for idle talk.
  •
  • §  How do you express your disagreement?
  • §  With logic, and using the knowledge I have.  I do not talk about the topic on which my knowledge is meager.
  •
  • §  How do you face the situation when a person does not agree with your point?
  • I do not get irritated, because everyone has his and or her right to have any kind of opinion.  I do not argue with any one right or wrong.  I just put the prevailing facts about the topic and that’s all.
  •
  • §  What do you do to make a new member familiar with the chat room?
  • I just give the basic rule………….BE DECENT.
  • §  How do you behave with the old or new members? Is there any difference?
  • I appraise the new members with the pros and con of the chatting.  With the old chatter of whom I have got acquainted, I feel relax and comfortable.
