I visited my neighbor city, Hiratsuka with my friend to see an art exhibition on Oct. 28th, 2012.  Here are some photo collage of that day!

Hiratsuka is my mother's native city, and I have lived there for several months when I was younger, but I didn't know that it had such a great museum for citizens.  I was quite impressed and enjoyed the dolls' houses exhibition.

These day I like taking photos of manholes, I wonder if they have interesting designs in every county.

My friend's mother in the US are making and selling this kind of miniature dolls.  By seeing these adorable ones, I was thinking about her.  I hope I can have another chance to see her soon.

I was 25 minutes late for the time we promised, so I couldn't meet my friend at Hiratsuka station, but I could meet her at the museum and we enjoyed lunch together.  It was a self-service cafe, and the price was very reasonable, yet it tasted pretty good :)

Wow, Tara!!  Handmade dollhouse by your father!!  You are so lucky to have such a dexterous dad!!  I wanted to have a doll house, but we couldn't afford it, and we can afford it now if my daughter wants, but she doesn't have any interest in it :S

I'm not sure about the puzzle erasers, yet good to hear that your daughter loves something from our country;)

Regarding correction,

Hiratsuka is my mother's native city, and I have lived there for several months when I was younger, but I didn't know that it had such a great museum for citizens."

or

Hiratsuka is my mother's native city, and I have had lived there for several months when I was younger, but I didn't know that it had such a great museum for citizens."

I'm not sure, I'm confused :O

Thank you very much for your comment and tip, Tara!!

Very interesting! I always loved miniature things when I was a child. When I was a little girl, my father made a dollhouse using scraps from our own house, including wallpaper and carpet. The roof came off so that you could get right in there and play. I still have it!  My daughter now uses her dollhouse for her Japanese puzzle erasers (her recent obsession).

Challenge: Can you make a small correction here?

"Hiratsuka is my mother's native city, and I have lived there for several months when I was younger, but I didn't know that it had such a great museum for citizens."
