because people speak English
Hello everybody. The New Iranian year would commence in few hours. I want to say Happy New year to all people that celebrate this ceremony which has been as tradition for long years.
I should also explain about this ceremony for people who are not familiar with Norouz.
Norouz means New Day and begins at the first day of spring,
It's been a tradition to celebrate this day for people who live in Iran and around Iran. Turkish people, Kurdish of Iraq . Pakestan, Azerbayjan, Tajikestan and Afghnestan people celbrate this tradition as well.
Iranian has been celebrating Norouz at least 2500 years, old Persian believed that in this day lightness has been conquered of darkness and winter changed to spring and this is the symbol of victory of goodness.
People at this ceremony wear their best clothes and visiting their family and friends and give each other gifts.

Comment by Anele on March 20, 2013 at 11:13 Since I live in the Philippines, I can't call it as a spring celebration because we only have two seasons........but it's a new year celebration! We just celebrated the beginning of the first day of the first new year! I am not a Catholic by the way!
