History repeats itself

No doubt the same expression exists in many languages: "History repeats itself." It is undoubtedly true. A similar sentiment probably inspired George Santayana to observe: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Yet seldom does history repeat itself on its own anniversary. Recently we have had several examples of just that.

Nuclear crisis in Japan (March 2011), recalls a similar nuclear crisis at Three Mile Island in the USA (March thirty-two years ago).

America attacks Libya (19 March 2011), retells the American-led attack on Iraq (19 March eight years ago).

The West bombs Libya (2011), completes the circle of the very first bombing from the air ever, by Italy in Libya one hundred years ago in 1911.

Crisis still hit the USA in 2008 (because stock market), after it had hit them in 1929 (it was because stock market)

you are right....history became like closed circle and as all of us see, just the painful accidents are repeated...I think it is enough, stop war, stop killing...let's live in peace

what is happening to the world?......why do the matters go worse?....

I think the flaw is in the people themselves...they no longer love each other......people don't value and respect the sentiments of others...

but we have to be optimistics...all we need, is to kill the devil inside us

may the coming years be better....may god save our universe

Spring is a cheerful event that repeats it's self almost every year... So it's rather called cycle than "History repeats itself." But maybe there was a pause, at Ice-age..

Can someone think some more, cheering events that have repeated it self... to cheer Josef? Otherwise he think only about wars and gets depressed. :P
