Gambian president declared a four day working week which is from Monday to Thursday, and people will enjoy a longer weekend: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This new decision goes into effect from February 1, that is in less than two weeks.
It is quoted from Mr. President that he likes his people spend more time for Agriculture, Prayers and Social Activities.
The new working hours during the day would be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is not reported how long the lunch break would be, though.

What time will you spend leaving and picking up children at school.
I think it is not worth the stress that you have each day, to get one more day in the weekend. Maybe if I would think only a week, but forever!! I think the whole world would end in terrible stress every weekend that would do nothing more than to relax at home, without leaving at all. :)

It's a good news.:)
Comment by Faraz on January 23, 2013 at 15:40 Dear Sahar, I agree, it would be very tiring to spend 10 hours in office. But, I don't think that they would WORK for 10 hours a day. Many of those hours would be spent on chit-chat, breaks and other stuff. Whether this is a wise decision or not will be known in a short time.
Yes,i agree with Sahar,i prefer to work an eight hours day and dislike to work at ten hours day, even if we can rest for three day a week.
