Last Wish

I live among the chatters and I spend most of my time with them on chatroom. I heard a lot about people got suspended or banned. There was a time in EC when suspension and banning happened a lot in a week more than any other week. Even I also heard that one person got banned for almost 6 or 7 times in only two days!! :D

About this, we, chatters, once had a discussion on main about the reason behind of banning and suspension. Someone shared this link to us on main, but we have difficulties in having one perspective about one point in that link. That is:

Inappropriate wording in comments, blogs, chat etc (sexual, racial, abusive etc)

Being raised in an eastern country and western country sure make a big difference about this. Eastern people would not talk so freely about sexual things compare to western people. The same thing about some words. For some, saying bitch may mean nothing but an interjection, but for some that is a big insult.

In the end, we couldn't come to any conclusion about the limitation of what can be said or what cannot be said on main. This different perspective or opinion can cause trouble because it will create confusion. Some may think what they did was a normal thing to say and they don't deserve to be banned, but some may think the opposite.

Back to the reason behind this banning and suspension system. At that time, someone offered another theory that made me realize and I agree with him. It is all personal, said that member. Yah, personal. If someone hate you, then he can report you and you have to be ready to say bye to EC.

So since it is all personal, if something happens and banned is my punishment, can I still have my blogs here? :D I know they might seem like a trash talk, but hey I never write something and now I wrote something in English so I want to keep them. :P

I actually wanted to write this blog as short as I can, but alas! I wrote too much. *_*

Yupa is a very brilliant sample for those who are clamming it's personal.... well, I'm not saying that because I blindly like here... but I ask you to report me or anything else to disprove the theory saying it's personal... and I assure you that nobody would listen to you if you don't have a convincing proof... well, I would actually complain about the opposite... because sometimes, even you need complicated ways to prove to a special moderator themselves about something which must be banned very urgently, what makes it very hard, especial for those who would make it for personal reasons...

People are complaining less and abusers have lost some of their steam. Banning "trash talkers" over and over was not working. Those who were defensive of their own language and freedoms were the most persistent in coming back.

I like what Yupa said: "I have been here on EC so many years ago, Syu, and I have never been banned before." By following the simple rules "Be Nice. English Only" you don't run the risk of being reported.

Due to this factor many genuine members of the past do not visit this site thanks to trouble makers . For one to enjoy th privileged the moderated chat one should also understand Banning is of the interest of the members and the clubs good name.

suspension is there to keep order before something goes out of hand or already has had thus to cool of ones emotion . It is not a punishment.

It is very nice to read an honest opinion of a member . do your put your self at the administration point of view , how would you handle trouble makers .
As you will understand unless with solid proof and prior warning no one gets banned . We are enjoying the best of this club , there are rules adhering to it remain the best :)

Warning.. Do you think we need a warn? I mean we all read and agree to the terms of condition which I know we all skipped reading that when we signed up to this site.

Hey I once typed "I suck at drawing" in a site to play online games and guess! My sentence appeared as "I @#$% at drawing". Do you think EC can apply the same thing here?

That banned person is an old member. I always heard things about him and I finally seen him on main with several ID's in a day after a year of my membership here.
