because people speak English
Here's what I got in my inmail box this morning:
Stay Young My Good Friends!
We all need to read this one over and over until it becomes part of who we are!
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Try everything twice.
On one woman's tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: "Tried everything twice. Loved it both times!"
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)
3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, and gardening, whatever...
Never let the brain get idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.
6.. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love: whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever..
Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips..
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
I love you, my special friend!
11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance..
And if you don't send this to at least 4 people - who cares? But do share this with someone.
Remember! Lost time can never be found.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Wine does not make you FAT.... it makes you LEAN ....
(against tables, chairs, floors, walls, etc. )
Look after yourself....... Please

Comment by Ryszard on June 28, 2012 at 16:41 Hi Galina,
I'm really happy that you visited my bog, what more, you even found it interesting.
Yes, the author of this text [not me] didn't leave much space to add anything relevant to the issue.
Thanks again for your visit.

This world is such a complex place with so many different forces in it, with so many different people in it, that sometimes it becomes too hard to stay positive and optimistic towards negative emotions, but smiling at all these is never impossible! Smiling doesn't mean you ignore the difficulties; it means that you hope and expect the things to turn out well. For me, smiling at everything is the best natural medicine to stay young.
Thanks for the blog...
Comment by Prostomolotova Galina on June 28, 2012 at 15:45 Thanks for such positive blog, Ryszard! It seems you didn't forget any point that makes us stay young. I completely agree with you in everything. Though most of the points I know and try to observe, anyway sometimes something like depression affects you and such blogs reminds you that life is wonderful in spite of all troubles.
I like point 3 about learning. You're right, it keeps our brain in good condition. We should train our memory as long as we live. We should learn different things by heart: poems, foreign languages....it's very useful. We should solve puzzles, crosswords, riddles.....so, learning English isn't only necessary for our life, but also useful for our health.
And, of course we should be positive and try to have positive, cheerful friends....
