Why should I worship GOD?

Worship God.
This is what my parents have been saying to me since my childhood.
I used to do it in my childhood for some material gains,but now I don't understand what does 'Worship God' means.

In my entire life this is what I learned from elders, preachers or from so called Godly people:
if I don't worship GOD, I'll fail in my exams.
if I don't worship GOD, I'll get no food to eat.
if I don't worship GOD, I'll get no money to live.
if I don't worship GOD, I'll not get a good(looking) life partner.
if I don't worship GOD, I'll fail in my life.
if I don't worship GOD, I'll will be thrown into hell.
So God Punishes me, torments me if I don't worship him.

If any of the above reasons is true, then the very meaning of GOD goes wrong.
God brings rain on the good and bad.
God provides food to the rich and poor.
God is all good and treats everyone equally.
God protects everyone from trouble.

So if God protects me even if I'm bad and not worshiping him,
WHY SHOULD I WORSHIP GOD?

OR

Should I worship God, because he is my creator?
Did he create me to work for him all my life. That is the only reason why I was created?
Then I would say ~~GOD is selfish~~.He's treats me as his slave.

Forgive me, if the above text offends anyone.But please think. WHY?
Let not such an act be something mechanical in our daily life.
Let's find out the true meaning of 'Worship of God'.

I sincerely request everyone to answer this question. WHY ARE YOU WORSHIPING GOD?

FYI: I'm not an atheist or a preacher. I'm just a seeker of GOD.

I try each day to be a better Moslem so that my GOD will happy. ;)

I entrust my life to Him, so that I worship God eveyday and talk to Him. I thank Him for helping me in eveyday and teaching me how to become stronger. I thank Him for forgiving me even though I am always weak and make mistakes. I tell Him what I need and what I feel from Him. I share everything with God. Also, I ask Him to let me know what He wishes me to do because I hope I can establish a good relationship between He and me. Therefore, I know He is real by worship. I've seen what He did for me everyday, so that I have to worship.
