That's the country where I live and where I hope to rest my weary body when I close my eyes for the last time

Oi again, Bea

Yes, the region around Kudowa is really worthwhile visiting. If you want some more information about that region, please be kind to visit my photoes. I took some fine pictures while travelling around that region when I was at "Szczawno Zdrój" SPA [lol..i know..it's a crazy word to pronunce!]  at the outskirt of Wałbrzych [lol...same as above] some 50km from Kudowa and Skalne Miasto.

Oi Bea,

I feel very honoured that you bothered to visit my page. That building complex in 1:42 doesn't seem to be a catle, from what I got observing the sequence of the photoes, it seems to be the health SPA in Kudowa. It was world famous before WWII. And those magnifiscent rock formations are called Rock City [Kamienne Miasto] not far from Kudowa.

Hi Camilla,

You convinced me, although I do not boast to be good at writing poems, I tried my best to convey that nostalgic melancholy of the song. Hope you like it.....so...here it goes...

The Flowers of Poland

Some foreign wind sings to you its song

How wonderful seems to be the yonder world

But  the heart keeps on yearning

‘Cause somewhere far away from here

A  homestead was left behind

And no other place is so fine

Where right now the flowers are in full bloom

Daisies, violets, marigolds and poppies

Under the Polish skies, in the backwoods they grow

Our homeland flowers, in their fragrance and beauty is  the charm of Poland

How I long to see once again

Our native woods, fields and meadows

And bring to my mother’s hands

From the green meadow,  a small bunch of flowers in bloom

For the Polish flowers are the prettiest of them all

Daisies, violets, marigolds and  poppies

Under the Polish skies, in the backwoods they grow

Our   homeland flowers, in their fragrance and beauty is  the charm of Poland

Some foreign wind sings to you its song yet

The bitter rover’s fate keeps me wandering on  in this wide world

Take away with you to distant lands

Take some flowers from your hometown

Take along with this song a handful of Polish flowers

Daisies, violets, marigolds and some poppies

Under the Polish skies, in the backwoods they grow

Our  homeland  flowers, in their fragrance and beauty is the charm of Poland

For the Polish flowers are the prettiest of them all

 Daisies, violets, marigolds and   poppies

Under the Polish skies, in the backwoods they grow

Our  homeland flowers, in their fragrance and beauty is  the charm of Poland

Dear Ryszard! What an amasing video and song! Thank you for sharing it! I recognized some of the cities, and I was there. They make me proud that I am also a Pole. From September I own the Polish Card (posiadam Karte Polaka). Regards, Hanna Winicka
