Do you have a pet? A pet is an animal that we can take care of. Having a pet gives joy, and a responsibility to keep it well. There are health benefits associated with taking care of it according to the experts. Some people include it as a member of their family. Dogs, cats, birds, fishes and even turtles, are common pets that we can keep inside our home.

You can record yourself together with your pet, and tell us something about it. Share your video in our video gallery. Don't forget to include the link of your video on the comment below. The title of your video should be - Video Challenge: My Pet.

If you don't have a pet, you can still join this challenge by telling us your favorite animal. The title of your video should be - Video Challenge: My Favorite Animal.

You can use the following questions as your guide.

1. What is your pet? Describe its appearance.
2. What are his or her characteristics? ( playful, moody)
3. How do you take care of it?
4. What does he or she like to do?

I'm looking forward for your participation. Thanks for watching!

Could you guess what adjectives I used to describe my pet?

Hi Teacher Vicki!

Thank you for taking the time to watch this video challenge. I really appreciate it! I just watched your video with Carter. He's indeed naughty and lively! I liked the way he acted at the later part of the video. I can definitely relate to you. It took me plenty of times recording a video (with my pet) in order to produce a nice one. But I had fun though!

By the way, thanks also for liking this video! ☻

Warm regards,

R☺bbie

Hi Robbie,

Our pet is called Carter and he's a mutt - a mixed breed dog. He is not adorable. 'Lively' and 'naughty' are the best adjectives to describe Carter. We tried to use him in a video we were making recently about the adjectives 'interested' and 'interesting'. I wanted to include the line 'Carter is very interested in balls' but we couldn't get a good shot. Here are some of the out-takes. http://youtu.be/FQRBL8vckZo

Actors say 'never work with children or animals. I agree. :-)

Hi Bimal!

Your comment was a sad one. : ( I'm sorry to learn about what happened to your pet. I agree with you, it's gonna be hard to accept a loss of a dog especially if it has been treated as a family member. Sometimes you might think that a dog or a puppy isn't just a man's best friend. It's even more.

I hope you and your family would be able to recover in such loss. Hopefully, it would bring a new smile once you have a new pet in the future. Cheer up!

By the way, thank you for sharing your experience to us, and for liking this video challenge. I truly appreciate it!

Best regards,

Robbie

Dear Robbie,

Yes, I liked your video! It is correct that we all love pets! The bond between man and pets is historical! I had a small pet-dog a couple of years ago, but it was unfortunate for me (my family members) that my pet was died of a car accident! That was happened on a busy road close to my home, and thereafter, my mind did not allow me think about another pet! On that day, our family members didn’t eat, and we all were shocked! On those days, we felt that we lost somebody from our family! I really love animals and plants!

Good Luck!

Bimal
