Starlings and sparrows often perch on a television aerial across the street.
I used them to test the video capabilities of my new digital camera.
You are watching slow-motion footage of what I saw.
I thought the sparrow and the starling were fighting.
But when I looked closer, I saw an insect flying past the sparrow.
Too late, the sparrow tried to catch the insect.
The starling had seen the insect long before the sparrow had.
With perfect timing, the starling snapped the insect from the air.
As the two birds returned to their perch, the sparrow had a chance to show off its own incredible aerial skills.
What a catch!
